Jesus in Kashmir

Jesus in Kashmir (ISBN 0 9581938 0 0) is my 2003 poetry collection.

It includes 115 of my poems from the years 1991 to 2002 and is divided into four sections:

  1. The everyday April weather’—poems about ordinary life and love.

  2. It could be time for another war’—life in the New Millennium.

  3. Advice to Authors’—poems about writing, poetry and poets, mainly fantastic and satirical.

  4. Jesus in Kashmir’—more contemplative poems.

The title-poem deals with various details of the legend that Jesus, having survived his crucifixion, travelled as a preacher and holy man until he ended up in Kashmir. A tomb of a holy man is still revered there to this day. Most of the details in the poem are from the legend but some are invented. For Mysia see Acts 16 7, one of the most important verses in the New Testament, in my heterodox opinion.
